Reva was sitting at Spaulding on "Alan's desk." She was giving out orders to Henry and telling Alan that they will soon rule Springfield in a southern accent in her sexy red dress. Then Sara and Hawk come in and take their places with Henry as the Spaulding Board! Reva congratultes them for now owning the restuarant "Company". Then Ed comes in with his face bright red with anger yelling at Alan and telling him that he can't take the hospital away and turn it into an Industrial Park. Alan says he can, and Ed asks about the medical rate in Springfield. And Reva says, "I'm heal-thy!" Then they show Alexandra, Fletcher, and Solita in a room. Solita is in a black cape as the devil, and Fletcher is in a white suit and hat as God. Solita is telling Alex to go to sleep and that Springfield doesn't need her anymore, while Fletcher is saying come I'll show you what will happen to Springfield without you. Fletcher and Alex disappear, while Solita is saying "Hey, Fletcher you can't do that," and Alex says, "Does this happen to everyone?"

Alexandra, Fletcher, and Solita end up at the Bauer home. Ed, Maureen, Rick, Meredith, and other members of the family are sitting around the table with sullen looks on their faces. Ed is complaining to Maureen about Alan and saying how he couldn't even park in a Spaulding lot without paying for the space. Chelsea comes in tramping, pouting, and complaining to Maureen that she lost both jobs. Maureen asks what happened. Chelsea says that only Reva can sing at the Blue Orchid now and that Alan bought the Journal from his "dead" sister. Then Chelsea says that if only Alexandra were here none of this would have happened. Then Fletcher says, "See someone cares what happens to you," and Solita says, "That was a poor example." So Fletcher takes them to the mansion. There is a motorcycle and Frank and Alan- Michael are admiring it; while Harley is talking to an interior decorator about puting a bar in. Vera and the Butler come in saying that they quit. Alexandra got all upset that they quit and that she wasn't going to let that girl ruin her home. When Solita says, "Who cares there's nothing you can do about it anyway you can't change things that will never happen." (giving Fletcher a look) Then Harley calls, "Wait you can't leave yet, you have to fix up my mother's room." Then Alex says, "The mother is living in my house!" Then Fletcher says that it gets worse, and Alex says, "So they tell me." They end up back at the office. Reva is dancing to rock music and Alan is calling in the background, "Henry turn it up." Then Solita gets mad and snaps her fingers in order to stop it and says to Fletcher, "This isn't real life." And Fletcher says "You're right but do you want to see what is?" He snaps his fingers in order to start it while Solita is saying no. The music turns off and Marah comes into the room and says that Alan forgot to pick her up after school. Alan says, "Oh I'm sorry honey, I'll bring the limo down every day after this." Then Marah says that a man gave her a lift and Josh comes in. Reva's mouth drops.

Commercial

Then Marah says that she wants Josh to stay because he made her laugh. Then Alan starts saying how she can't see Josh anymore. And Alex gets all upset saying that that is her real daddy, Solita says, "Who cares about them, you gave up on them a long time ago." Alex agrees with Solita. Fletcher is upset and asks what about Marah. Then he takes them to the Bauer's again. Everyone is still at the table when Alex says, "They can't see us?" And Solita says, "No they can't, watch this." Solita takes her cigarette and blows it in Maureen's face. Nothing happens but after a while Maureen says, "I smell smoke...it must be the stove...I'll check." Then later on Fletcher comes in the room again but this time the Bauer's can see him. Fletcher starts telling Maureen how they can go somewhere else in front of Ed! And Alex says, "You bastard, you can't do that." Fletcher then becomes unseen to the Bauer's and says, "No one was to stop me." Alex reaches out to slap him but he grabs her hand in time.

Alan-Michael and Harley both want to get married for the money. Phillip and Alexandra are seething. They have come up with every way to stop the marriage but the right one. Now they are going to dig into Harley's past.

Meredith is now pregnant with Phillip's baby. Rick believes that it is his and is planning to marry her earlier than planned. Phillip doesn't know that it is his baby and Blake tells Meredith to lie through her teeth. Meredith doesn't like Blake's idea but decides to after some persuading. Meredith calls Blake and tells her that they need to talk and Fletcher overhears Meredith talking to Blake and learns that it is Phillip's baby and not Rick's.

Fletcher has his own problems with Julia. He now will own the Journal but Ben they don't know about yet.

Solita is up to no good, as usual. Solita set the bed on fire while Josh was on the phone with Reva. It is an attempt to stop Reva from telling Josh that she overheard Will and Mindy talking to Will's mother in Venezuela. Later, Solita goes to a bar where Sonni would never go. Rusty and Ross were waiting for her there while Josh is following her. Solita had no idea that she is about to be confronted; Josh's plan is to kick Sonni/Solita out of town and clear his name. Needless to say, it doesn't work.

After the trial and Josh was locked up, Will went looking for Sonni/Solita. He found her at Josh's house. She was in her Solita personality. When Will found her she was celebrating in a way. Solita thought Will had changed the medical records (he hadn't). He had thought that Solita had changed the records. Then he figured that she was schizophrenic. Then he mentioned that she was going to tell him something before she shot Alan. Will said that she was going to tell him that the first time he slept with Solita but it was actually Sonni. Then Solita puts her head in her hands (it looked like she was crying, but she was changing personalities). Will realized this and says, "Sonni." But she looks up and says, "What?"

Meanwhile, Josh is talking with Ross and Frank. Ross tells Frank to bring Will down here because they need Will to find Sonni/Solita.

Will is trying to get Sonni to come to Venezuela with him, he seems to think that she needs a vacation. Then Frank comes into the house and starts calling for Will. Will opens a closet quickly and tells Sonni to hide in there. Will goes with Frank under protest. Then Sonni starts remembering a door with her or someones hand going toward the knob. Before Will put her in the closet she told him that she was scared.

Reva comes looking for Sonni/Solita but doesn't find her until she hears her crying in the closet. Before Reva had come, Sonni was crying and repeating, "Stop it Papa, she didn't do anything wrong." There was whipping sounds for special effect. Reva believed that she was Solita, but after a few minutes she believed that the woman in front of her was Sonni Lewis. Reva told Sonni that she needed help and that she (Reva) would call the hospital.

So Reva calls the hospital and when she goes back to the closet there is no sign of Sonni/Solita. Then Reva calls back the hospital and reports that the problem has disappeared.

Later Will follows Sonni/Solita to the house in Venezuela. Reva is following Will.

Solita (she changes personalities again) locks herself into a room and sets it on fire.

Sonni/Solita is in a corner of the room unconscious. When she wakes up she is Sonni, she sees the fire and hears Reva calling her name and is shocked. Then she hears Solita in her head saying, "Let it burn, let it burn after what you did to me." Then she changes back to Solita and starts telling Will to join her, as she is walking toward the fire. She is delirious.

Reva then smells the smoke and tells Will to bang the door down. He hears Sonni/Solita telling him to join her and tells Reva that she is delirious and that they better leave before the house burns down. Reva declares that she is not leaving without Sonni. Will grabs Reva and heads toward the window, surprised that Reva would risk her life for Sonni. Reva says that she (Sonni/Solita) is still a human being and how she wouldn't leave anyone. At the window Reva pushes Will out and calls down telling him to get help. She then kicks the door open and Sonni is in the corner still in her Solita personality. Reva grabs Sonni; pulling on her and telling her to come with her. Solita starts laughing and holds Reva down. They left it off where Reva is saying, "Let go of me."

The next day all I saw was Reva directing Will up narrow steps looking for Sonni. Then they showed a picture of one of the twins with the fire burning in front of it.

The next day on the show, Reva was showing Sonni the empty grave that they dug up. Reva was telling Sonni how it was Solita's grave. Sonni got all upset and pushes Reva into the empty grave.

What takes place later is Reva and Sonni on the bridge that Sonni fell off of three years ago. Josh and Rusty are in Venezuela looking for Reva and Sonni while Will is in the shrubs holding a huge knife near the bridge.

Sonni is telling Reva her story about when her father whipped Solita. In Sonni's memory she is pleading with her father not to hurt Solita. Her father would not listen to her saying how Sonni has listened to Solita's "evil tongue" long enough. He drags Solita into the room and locks the door behind him. Sonni starts pounding on the door crying and saying, "Stop it Papa," just as she had in the closet at Josh's. In her memory, her father comes out of the room. Sonni says to her father that she must go to Solita but her father forbids her and locks the door behind Solita. Then Sonni gets all upset and says how it is her sister; her father says that they must forget Solita. He says that they will never see Solita again because he is sending her away. Then he says that "Solita is dead to us" and repeats it before leaving. Sonni stays at the door all night talking to Solita. Sonni gets all upset when she suggests to Reva that she might have fallen asleep, "What if something happened to Solita and I was asleep?" Reva urges her to remember more.

Sonni remembers crying at the door and telling Solita how she loves her. Sonni also tells Solita that she will tell their father the truth in the morning; the only answer Sonni gets are cries from Solita. Then the camera moves into the next room where they show Solita crying behind the bed with her back covered with blood. Sonni tells Reva that Solita never said a word to her. Then Sonni said how Solita must hate her. Then Sonni remembers getting the key from her father while he was asleep; her father was snoring and it was the only sound in the house.

Then Sonni says to Reva angrily that her father slept like a baby that night. Sonni unlocks the door with the key; when she walks into the room there is no one there. Sonni finds blood on the bed and bedpost and is frightened about what might have happened. She looks at the closet and slowly starts walking toward it and her hand slowly reaches for the knob; just like her memory scenes in Josh's closet. Then right before the closet door opens, Sonni cuts the memory telling Reva that she doesn't want to remember anymore. Reva asks what she saw in the room. Sonni tells her that the room was empty and Reva tells Sonni that Solita had to have been in the closet because there was no way out of the room. Reva says that Solita must still be in the closet; Sonni says no. Reva says that Solita is dead and that she was burried in the flower garden earlier but she wants Sonni to remember the rest.

I stopped writing here but finished the story in my notes a year later. Reva got Sonni to remember the rest of the story. Sonni was opening the door of the closet and found Solita hanging there on a rope, Solita had apparently hung herself. Then Will cut the rope on the bridge, and Sonni almost fell off again but Reva caught her and Josh was there.

Sonni was not the only one traumatized by this story, the audience was too, but in a different way. This story dragged on for nearly two years; it was still one of Guiding Light's most haunting stories in my book however. It was a shame and a loss when Michelle Forbes the actress who played Sonni/Solita left the show at the end of 1989.

Will and Rusty had an outing about Mindy. Rusty barged into Will's apartment after Will had called Mindy, Rusty grabbed the phone from Will and chatted with her. When he finally gave the phone back to Will, Mindy had hung up. It's obvious that even Melinda Sue is catching on, Rusty says to Rose later. Rusty is worried that Will will come after Rose again.

Meanwhile, Nadine was in the apartment and heard every word of the fight. Nadine now knows about Marah and that Will needs money and Mindy. So Nadine has this little plan which she tells Will. She thinks Will should call Reva and tell her that Josh is Marah's father, but he can't mention Alan's name. Nadine reasons that Mindy will think Will is being loyal and she'll come running back to him. So Will calls Reva and begins to tell her the truth.

At the Island "Adam" and Mac are in a crisis; helicopters are hovering over the Island. They rush Phillip, Blake, Alex, and Fletcher on their plane back to Springfield quickly. Looking out the window of the plane the crew wonder what is going on. Then Phillip sees troops walking around the Island and it's the U.S. Army. Quick Adam and Mac hurry in getting out machine guns in exclamation.

Alexandra and everone are coming back to Springfield and everyone is excited about it except Nadine. Talking to Alan, Nadine gets an idea of how to get Alex on her side. Alan is telling how when Alex went away to London once she came back and made an appearance at a Mask Ball. So Nadine gives Harley a ring and asks her how it would be if Nadine threw a ball in Alexandra's honor and then she and Alan can also announce their engagement. Harley likes the idea and can't wait to tell Alan-Michael and everyone; meaning Sam and Frank.

Alan-Michael doesn't want to go because he doesn't want to be in the same house with Phillip. Harley tries to get Frank to tell him to go but he won't so she's stuck until Sam comes in. Sam encourages Alan-Michael but he won't go if Phillip's going to be there. So Harley gives in and puts Frank and Sam together so they can go and come back with a full update. Harley announces that Frank and Sam can be their spies when Alex makes another surprise entrance saying how it sounds intriguing. Alex chats with Alan- Michael and Harley about the wedding. Harley does her best to help her mom get on better sides with Alex but doesn't have much luck for Alex seems to be ignoring Nadine even the mention of her name.

Back at the mansion, Nadine is having a terrible time. First of all Alex doesn't want to go to the ball because she's too tired, Alan-Michael and Harley aren't going either, and Alex thinks it was right of Phillip to block Alan-Michael's inheritance. Nadine manages to bribe Harley to go with an elegant black dress. All Harley has to do is convince Alan- Michael to go and if she can't considering his stubborness; Nadine wants Harley to go without him.

Meanwhile, Alan-Michael is trying to buy Harley a dress for the ball but is having problems with money. Nadine is complaining to Alan about Alex and Alan-Michael not going to the ball and that he should make them go because they are supposed to announce their engagement there; Phillip overheard.

Maureen and Ed had a fight after they had talked to Ross. Fletcher came over to pick up Ben and Ed got all mad. Maureen left for the boardinghouse and Ed left with Holly. Maureen asked Ross to take her to the ball and Ed and Holly might be going to the ball together.

Alexandra got a call from Mike Bauer while Phillip and Blake were there about what happened at the Island. Alex learns that it was government confidential and Mike doesn't have any details. All he knows is that the good guys won. After the phone call Phillip takes off and Blake tells Alex that she thinks Adam was in love with her (Alex).

Chelsea and Johnny made love and Chelsea was angry with Johnny afterwards.

Reva and Josh are coming back to Springfield with Sara, Hawk, and Marah. Sonni is going out of the hospital they think she's getting better. Josh is going to ask her for a divorce. Reva thinks he should wait until the time is right.

Hawk asked Sara to marry him and she said yes.

The ball is looking up. Alan-Michael solved his money problems with help from Rose. He bought an 80 dollar dress for 40 dollars so Harley could go to the Mask Ball with him.

While Harley is admiring the dress her mother got her, Sam comes in with the dress she wore to the wedding. Harley tells her that she can't wear the same dress. Sam is insistent because she likes it so much. Then Alan-Michael comes back with the dress in the bag. Harley rushes toward him getting into her persuasive mood, but when she sees the dress she is very happy. Before she can burst her bubble; Alan-Michael sees the dress Nadine bought Harley and asks about it. Harley quickly makes up an excuse. She says that it's Sam's and that Nadine bought it for Sam. Then she quickly rushes the surprised Sam into the bathroom telling her to put it on.

Meanwhile, Nadine is pushing Alan around quickly trying to get the "ball" rolling. Alan and Phillip talk and Phillip is actually considering giving Alan another chance. Blake doesn't think Phillip should.

Will leaves a message on Reva's answering machine telling her to call him if she wants to know about Marah. Just as he is leaving, Reva calls out to him telling him to wait.

Josh is at the hospital with Sonni. She is in high spirits and wants to be with Josh for the rest of her life. But Josh asks for a divorce anyway.

Ed and Holly are eating dinner together talking about their problems. Ed and Holly are going to the Mask Ball together and so are Rusty and Rose. Rusty bought a burglary alarm, just in case he tells Rose.

Blake told Adam about the letter and she panicked at the thought of Rick finding out the truth. She told Phillip before coming to Adam, when Adam heard this he told her she made a mistake. Blake got really mad, but Adam reasoned with her that the only way to get Alan is to have proof. He's going to help her get it; the first thing she has to do is find out who has the letter.

Meanwhile, Phillip is asking Rick if he got a letter from Alan. Rick lied that he lost the letter and that Alan said the envelope contained mining clippings.

Reva and Josh are upset when they realize Marah is gone. Sonni brings Marah in, Marah falls asleep on the couch. Sonni leaves the room and her coffee; Will comes in and puts something in it.

Blake goes to Harley, since she was the one who told her; Harley doesn't say anything because she wants to protect Nadine. Blake goes back to Adam. They chat and are still trying to figure a way to nail Alan.

Alan is telling Phillip that Roger Thorpe is alive. Phillip doesn't think so.

Reva is left alone while Josh goes on his lead; Reva is already convicting Sonni. Sonni falls asleep from what Will put in the cup. Josh is off to Company and Sam says that Sonni Lewis was there with Marah.

Alan is convinced that Roger Thorpe is alive; he's starting to drive Phillip crazy. He thinks that Blake and Roger are in this together to get revenge.

Meanwhile, Blake is with Adam trying to find a way to prove Alan wrote that letter to Rick telling him that Phillip was the father.

Reva and Josh think that Sonni kidnapped Marah, but Sonni denies it and says she was going to give Josh his divorce so he could be with his family. Josh and Reva don't believe her but Dr. Linden does.

Josh and Rusty decide to check out Will Jeffrey's since he is always there when something happens to Sonni. Will has a patient there who thinks they had been working since ten in the morning. When Rusty and Josh come, the patient admits that she had been with Will that long. Then Josh and Reva learn that Sonni's car was there at ten when she said that she got there at eleven. Will calls his mother; it seems that she has Marah and thinks that Marah is his daughter.

Josh and Reva are in Mexico with Reva's daughter Marah; while Sonni is in Springfield ruining what is left of Will Jeffries fortune. Josh finds Ms. Ebaro in a locked room where "Solita" locked and left her. Josh finds Sonni's diary but all pages involving Will were ripped out. Josh becomes upset because the Sonni he knew would never lock Ms. Ebaro in a room, try and kill Will, have an affair with him, and lie through her teeth. Josh is convinced that Sonni is too good of a person to do these things. He starts yelling at Reva how that woman in Sprinfield is not the same woman he knew and loved two years ago. One of the Holy sisters comes by and says, "You are right, young man, you are right."

Rick found out that he wasn't the father of Meredith's baby. He found out from the scantron at the wedding. Meredith didn't tell him that it was Phillip's baby; she said it was a strangers. Then she says that she would leave and never come back because Rick deserves better. Just as she is about to leave he stops her, they hug and cry all over the place, and it is so sweet.

Harley and Alexandra went shopping for a wedding dress. Harley loved this one that was absolutely perfect for her, but Alex said no way. Then Phillip came in, saying that she had a headache Alex leaves Harley in the hands of Phillip. Phillip buys the dress anyway once he sees Harley pout.
